The meetup of 30 january 2017 is a Bob Dylan song in Swiss German. Immigrant Toni Vescoli translated Nobel prize winner Dylans song already in the nineties and sang them in Zurich dialect. I selected «Wie es Blatt im Wind» (like a Rolling Stone).
Vescoli was a member of the first Swiss pop group «Les Sauterelles» in the sixties. Their English songs «Hongkong» or «Heavenly Club» shocked the parents and were loved by the youngsters. Later on Vescoli produced many Swiss German songs. In spring 2016 he received the Prix Walo, this is the most prestigious prize in Switzerland for cultural achievements.
As always I will bring the song, the text and the material. We will speak High German and listen Swiss German.
